Hiring

If interested, please send your CV/Resume to me at: aahmadzadeh1..[at]..gsu..[dot]..edu

A General Note For M.S. Applicants:

How to apply:

  • Make sure your CV/Resume has links to your (public) repositories so that I can see your coding skill by looking at your best projects.

  • If you (co-)authored a research article, include that in your CV/Resume, as well as a short description of your contribution in that project.

  • Send your CV/Resume to my email at: aahmadzadeh1..[at]..gsu..[dot]..edu .

  • If you haven't heard from me, remind me again please.

What else to consider:

  • Do not ask for Teaching Assistantship (TA) role. Those roles are assigned by the department.

  • It is best to look for open Research Assistantship (RA) positions a few months before each semester starts. It is simply a bad strategy to start looking for an RA role in the first few weeks of a semester.

  • An RA position is for one semester; it is your commitment and passion to the project that renews your role (of course, if there is still funding left to support your contribution).

RA for M.S.

A Research Assistant position for an M.S. student is available for Spring 2023. [interviewing now]

I am looking for an M.S. student who is:

  • in their 1st or 2nd semester in the Computer Science department at GSU,

  • proficient in Python programming and Software Engineering,

  • familiar with basics of Machine Learning and Data Science, and

  • proficient in writing technical reports in English.

If interested, please send me:

  • your updated Resume,

  • a link to your best project (online repository) which shows your coding skill (in Python). If that was a teamwork, specify your contribution,

  • sample of your writing skill, e.g., a paper or project report in which your contribution is highlighted. If you don't have that, the second-best thing would be your TOEFL and/or GRE certificate,

  • a short paragraph written by you describing your role in your previous job/internship if you had any. This should describe your daily duties; please avoid the generic keywords like "data engineering", "building pipelines", "front-end development", etc. I am interested in knowing your actual duties, and certainly not your team's. It would be best if you gave examples.
